There is a staff whose name is....Luke Hansberry, as far as i remember. He's really kind. room just look like its picture on the web.Super close to town center - yeah. banff is quite small town. but still great. I guess it's suitable for budgets.
Shower cock is on the wall and water pressure is not really great. but understandable. There is a thing that i don't like most is noise of fridge. 1 or 2mins an hour. it makes some strange sound.
The only good thing about Homestead was the young lady who cleaned our room. She did an excellant job considering what she had to work with.....
The room was not in line with the dollar amount paid. We would not recommend this hotel/motel.
Just an ok place, not fancy, but decent rate.
Need more parking! And hard to find the front door. I think the rooms might be updated soon!
friendliness of the reception staff ,location for the town and the river ,very spacious and comfortable.
Staff were friendly and helpful. I asked a number of questions about town history and local ammenities which were answered in a pleasant manner. I felt thateach staff member was interested in making my stay comfortable and rewarding.
Too much traffic noise in the evening.
cheap, use of pool across street, close to downtown
no staff on duty from 11:00PM - 7:00AM so lots of noise.
A friend and I stayed at the homestead inn for a snowboard weekend. The price was the main reason we chose this place. We wanted something cheap but clean and comfy. And that's exactly what we got. I'm glad we chose the homestead inn and we will definitely return.
We got to use the pool, jacuzzi and steam room at the hotel across the street. I just find it a bit inconvenient that we have to go across to benefit from these services. But, I'd rather pay less and cross the street, than pay 50$ more per night to stay where there's a pool and everything.
It was close to shopping and alot of activities and not as expensive as most of the motels in Banff. It was noisy and not air-conditioned which we missed.
I was able to swim every day at the hotel across the street. We had internet access. I could park the car close to the room. The hotel was located near the bike rentals so we could cycle until we were tired and reach the hotel immediately. The library and museums were also very close to the hotel. Being able to make a cup of coffee in the room is a real treat.
Being able to enjoy spa and pool facilities at the 4 star hotels across the road. The matress was very good. The hotel is conveniently located at the centre of the city of Banff and is having a fantastic breakfast place next to it: Melissa!!! Try to full breakfast, pancakes and fantastic!
Noise insulation very bad, could hear all noises inside the other rooms. But no disturbances from the road.
They were very welcoming and helped us find all the attraction we wanted to visit. The staff is very friendly :)
Good walking access to the Banff Avenue , the main shopping area. Parking convenient. Good access for eating spots.
Three storey building and a little noisy on the second floor and probably the first. Older building.
Old furniture and ancient tv (24 yo). Old dirty carpet. Broken coffee maker. Very noisy.
The rate was a very good price. The room was standard but you do get what you paid for. Location was great as it was easy to find and close to downtown banff.
The bed I found extremely hard and uncomfortable.
Location was great. Parking Friendly staff
No airconditioning so you are dependant on the weather.. We were there in July and it was hot on first night but cool on second night. There was a fan in the room. No elevator, so if you do not want to climb stairs get a ground floor room
